FAQ

What equipment do I need to to have to train at KCS?

Just bring work out clothes to start, we have gear you can use. We also sell gear at affordable prices.

Are there any extra fees on the monthly membership?

No, we just charge one monthly fee, no initiation fees, no locking into year long contracts, no requiring you purchase a uniform or our products. Just text us to stop your membership, please give a 15 day notice.

Is the gym/gear/mats clean?

We clean obsessively, at least 3 times per day. Also, no shoes on the mats! Please spray down and clean all of your own gear and whatever gym equipment you use after use.

Do I need previous training to train? Do I have to fight or spar?

No. Come in and try a class or two for free (just sign a waiver). We train people who have a variety of goals, from getting in shape to actual professional fighting. No contact is required. Any sparring must be approved by the coaches.

Is there a belt system at KCS?

Well… there are plenty of belts out there to earn. Hard work and dedication to the sport are their own reward. Brazilian Jiu-jitsu has its own specific belt system. But if you really want a belt, we can facilitate earning one in the ring or cage.
